Arrival & Testing COVID-19

TEST AT ARRIVAL

Arrival on Tuesday 18 May 2021 or earlier

All participants must do an Antigen rapid test «SARS-CoV-2 Rapid from Roche» within 1 hour after their arrival at the competition venue Stacherholz in Arbon. A second test must be done on Thursday 20 May 2021. There are no exceptions regarding the testing date.

 

Arrival from Wednesday 19 May to Monday 24 May 2021

All participants must do an Antigen rapid test «SARS-CoV-2 Rapid from Roche» within 1 hour after their arrival at the competition venue Stacherholz in Arbon. The costs for the Antigen rapid test(s) after arrival in Arbon will be covered by the LOC. Until the result is available, participants must stay in a protected area, as instructed by the LOC.

 

ACCREDITATION

To obtain an accreditation, the LOC needs the following documents:

·       For those who are arriving in Switzerland directly from abroad and did not compete at the ParAthletics Grand Prix in Nottwil, please bring a proof of a negative PCR or rapid test result carried out before entering Switzerland within the required time period according to Swiss authorities. Please check the current entry regulations and test requirements for entering Switzerland (Coronavirus: Travel).

·       Proof of the negative test result of the Antigen rapid test «SARS-CoV-2 Rapid from Roche» conducted at the test center in Arbon.

·       Signed corresponding colour annex (Commitment Form). The Commitment Form (provided by the LOC) must be completed and signed in the waiting area of the test center and handed over to the personal at the accreditation desk.

The accreditations must be picked up in person at the accreditation desk (see situation map no. 2 or 3). Please bring your passport or identity card. Athletes and accompanying persons who will arrive on 18 May 2021 or earlier must do a second test on Thursday 20 May 2021 and will then get a confirmation/approval for the conduct of the second test directly at the test center.

 

CHECK POINTS IN ARBON

Each accreditation has an individual QR code that will be scanned at specific check-points (see situation map no. 1). No access without accreditation!

 

VACCINATION

There is no vaccination requirement for the participation in the Weltklasse am See 2021 in Arbon. A vaccinated person does also have to bring a negative PCR test result as well as doing an Antigen rapid test «SARS-CoV-2 Rapid from Roche» in Arbon.

 

TEST AT DEPARTURE

Participants who need to take a COVID-19 test (PCR or rapid test) before returning to their country of origin have the following options in the vicinity of the meeting:

a)   Before departure directly at Kloten airport (time required approx. 4 to 5 hours), or

b)   Local test possibility on Sunday, 23 May 2021 (in the morning) in St. Gallen. Arzthaus, Dr. Florens Nestler, Zeughausgasse 22, CH-9000 St. Gallen, Tel. +41 71 221 10 00. The test result will be available within 5 to 24 hours. Costs for a PCR test > CHF 175.00  

The costs must be covered by the participant and must be paid directly on site. Detailed information regarding the tests at departure will follow.

 

TRAINING

Tuesday to Thursday the athletics track will be open for training from 09.00 to 16.00 h (see situation map). Access to the training area is only allowed with accreditation and will be controlled by a volunteer.

 

MASK OBLIGATION

Wearing a protection mask is mandatory on the entire event for all athletes, coaches, staff, officials and volunteers during their time at the Venue, in the common areas of the hotel and in transportation. Exceptions are defined in the respective appendices (e.g. athletes in competition, volunteers during physically strenuous work, etc.). No requests for dispensation from the mask obligation will be granted. Protection comes first!

Disziplinen, bei denen kein Interesse von Schweizer Athleten und/oder zu wenig (weniger als drei) Anmeldungen vorliegen, müssen nicht durchgeführt werden. Bei einer Absage von Disziplinen werden die betroffenen Athleten nach dem Anmeldeschluss durch den Veranstalter informiert.
